THE GIANT ___________ Imagine the world’s tallest moving statue that can turn into anyone and can awaken the giant in you. BACKGROUND _______________ The Giant was inspired by Gulliver’s Travels - a great work of literature by Jonathan Swift. We’ve designed a groundbreaking attraction that takes you on an immersive journey from the Giants of legend and mythology to the great women and men from history who’ve made a positive impact on the planet. Everyone has the potential to excel, and everyone can be a giant. Over the past 3 years we’ve put together a world-class team of designers, engineers and artists to explore new ways and new technologies to create a platform for groundbreaking experiences and for building awareness about living sustainable lives. The Giant will be an icon, a civic landmark and a destination for visitors and residents of the city. You can immerse yourself in its mind-blowing exhibition, stand on the shoulders of the Giant and see the city and get scanned and become the Giant, taller than the statue of liberty – it’s the world’s most spectacular selfie. TEAM ______ The Giant, was conceived by Dublin-based The Giant Company, led by entrepreneur Paddy Dunning. Paddy is also behind the Wax Museum, the live music venue Button Factory in Dublin and the award-winning Grouse Lodge recording studios. Over the last 3 years, the company has put together a diverse and world-class team of designers, engineers and artists to explore new ways and new technologies to create the Giant Statues and visitor attraction. Supported by early social impact investors and Enterprise Ireland, The Giant Company has engaged the global leader in commercial real estate services company CBRE to find identify sites for the statue around the world.
